About Katrina
"Who is Katrina Reese?"
Once upon a time there was a nerdy, accident-prone weirdo who had an insanely loud laugh. From a young age she would watch cartoons and mimic all of the characters and sounds, re-enacting entire TV show episodes and movies with her brothers. She adored making others laugh, especially her cherished friends, and would do anything to get a laugh. Always the jokester, she would frequently prank call her family, friends, and even her friends’ friends. As a graduate student, Katrina preferred to spend her time creating and editing YouTube videos, and successfully completed over a year of daily comedic vlogs and book reviews. Stand-up comedy was a natural progression for this young theater nerd who always played the comic relief in the dramas and musicals she acted in from middle school until college. She would write and perform unique, original comedy songs which she would sing while playing her acoustic guitar. Katrina has performed stand-up comedy throughout NYC and Long Island, and was the 2019 Winner of the Aragona NYC Comedy Contest. From performing stand-up comedy, she was initially approached to do character-work for radio stations. Once she learned of voiceover as a career path there was no going back. To grow her voiceover acting skills even further, Katrina began studying improv at the Magnet Theater, which led to her involvement in writing and performing sketch comedy. She is a proud member of Moxie and continues to write and perform. She most recently has been focusing on absurd character development as she is a character herself. Katrina can also be seem screaming philosophical lessons while live-streaming RPG and puzzle-type video games regularly on Twitch (@KatrinaReeseVO).
